This charitable organization provides grants for sufferers to access affordable cosmetic treatments, helping boost their morale and support recovery from this challenging condition, which affects 1-2 out of every 50 people.
As the owner of a hair specialty salon for hair loss and hair disorders, Charlene Blacer saw first-hand the great need of this underserved population and founded Help Me 2 Stop.org, a charitable organization which provides grants for Trichotillomania sufferers to receive free or affordable cosmetic treatments to help boost their morale and get them on the road to recovery.
Folks who suffer OCD and many other different conditions can often "pass" in society with little or no suspicion. Not so with compulsive hair-pulling (Trichotillomania), which highjacks a person's peace of mind and their looks. Current estimates there are 1-2 out of 50 people living with Trichotillomania.
